Who I am

I grew up in a big city called Rio de Janeiro, and since I was a child I used to travel with my parents. I think that’s where my passion for traveling started. My parents would put my sister and me in the car, and we would explore – nothing fancy, just small cities nearby or other states. At that time, I remember that there were no GPS, Waze, or booking.com websites to find good places to stay. There was no planning; it was just about going and discovering along the way. It seems like a long time ago, but believe me, it was less than 20 years ago. Back then, I used to write in a diary about my adventures. Some of those stories have been lost, but they remain in my memories, and I have decided to bring my experiences to life in this space.

I am currently living in Belgium, but I have also lived in the USA and Ireland. I have been traveling ever since I discovered that I could do it on my own, and I want to show you that this is possible – traveling or living in a foreign country. I want share what the world has to offer: the vast amount of places, stories, and opportunities that we sometimes miss out on for fear of trying.

I am a person who loves reading; I’m a big fan of Harry Potter, I know it’s kind of cringe, but I’m a millennial who grew up with those books. I’m also sporty and have tried many different activities, like playing football and CrossFit. Right now, I’m trying to become a triathlete (I just started, so don’t expect to see me in a big competition yet). I love learning languages as well, and so far, I can speak four (Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish) and am learning Dutch, which is much more difficult than I had imagined, and finally, I love astrology, so wait for some astrology tips in here as well.
